Q: What Windows platforms support MCLSoft? A: MCLSoft has been tested and will perform on Windows 95, 98 and NT systems. Unfortunately, MCLSoft is not supported on Windows 2000 or XP. Q: What kind of cable is used between the computer and Key DownLoader? A: A standard serial cable, with 9-pin connectors, is used. This is sometimes called a “serial extension cable” or “straight through cable.” A Null Modem cable cannot be used. You may obtain a cable through Sensitech by calling 800-843-8367, or at any store that carries computer accessories.
A: The standard ambient sensors cannot be submerged. The sensors are designed to be very moisture resistant. While the sensors will work in 100 percent condensing humidity, they are not designed to soak in liquid. If a sensor should get submerged, simply remove the excess liquid and move the sensor so that it is not in contact with the liquid. If the liquid penetrated the sensor cover, temporary or permanent deviations may result. Examine the next few downloads carefully to determine if service is needed. Waterproof and piercing probes and different grades of wire are available. Contact Client Services at 800-843-8367 for more information. Q: The notice “Could not program. No Data Key inserted” appeared. Why did this happen? A: Seen during Deployment if the Deploy button is clicked and there is no Data Key in the KDL. Place a Data Key in the KDL and try again. Q: The light on the MCL flashed red four times when I inserted a Data Key. What does that mean? A: Four red flashes are an error warning that the MCL cannot log data to the key.
