Sensitech participating at IQPC Cool Chain 2008 in Brussels, Belgium

SASSENHEIM, Netherlands, Jan. 9 Sensitech, the global leader in cold chain visibility solutions, will sponsor "Cool Chain Integrity and Visibility - A Discussion and Review of Industry Implementation Trends and Expectations for Return on Investment" at IQPC (International Quality & Productivity Center) Cool Chain Europe 2008, Brussels, Belgium. Sensitech is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp.


Held Jan. 28-30, Cool Chain Europe is the largest, most comprehensive event of its kind. More than 200 professionals from manufacturing, distribution, quality assurance, packaging and supply chain management, as well as service providers, will discuss best practices. The focus of this year's conference is "Meeting global challenges to ensure a safe and compliant supply of bio-pharmaceutical products and clinical supplies."


Sensitech strategic marketing director Henry Ames will lead a roundtable discussion on Jan. 29. He will also participate in a Jan. 30 panel discussion titled: "Explore Industry Best Practices for Storage, Handling and Distribution of Temperature-Sensitive Goods Across a Complex Global Supply Chain." This panel will be moderated by Rafik H. Bishara Ph.D.

About Henry Ames
Henry Ames joined Sensitech in 2004 as the director of strategic marketing. He focuses on global market analysis and strategic marketing initiatives for the Life Science Vertical. Prior to Sensitech, he was a principal at Megunticook Management, a venture capital firm in Boston with $150 million under management and investments in promising communications, media and technology companies. While at Megunticook, Ames focused on supply chain-related investments. Before that he was manager of business development for Yantra, a leading provider of distributed order management and supply chain-fulfillment software.
Ames earned an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and a double major in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University.

About Rafik H. Bishara Ph.D.
Dr. Bishara is the current chair of the Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Interest Group (PCCIG), Parenteral Drug Association (PDA). He has served as a temporary adviser to the World Health Organization (WHO) since July 2007.
Bishara retired from his position as director, Quality Knowledge Management and Technical Support, Eli Lilly and Company, after a 35-year career. During his tenure at Eli Lilly and Company, he was responsible for the Quality Knowledge Management, Global Compendial Affairs, Stability and Distribution Excellence, Global Product Protection, Special Security Substances and Controlled Substances Administration. Bishara frequently chairs and presents at industry conferences, has authored numerous articles, and has technically advised several organizations on Good Cold Chain and Temperature- Controlled Management Practices. He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University, Indiana, USA.
