Re: Configuring TT4 to Low Alarm Limit of –30o C (-22 o F) using TTM v2.4 or earlier

Multi-Use TT4 customers and International offices and distributors who order and receive Single Use-Overwrite and Multi-Use TT4 monitors use TempTale Manager v2.4 or earlier or the new TTM Desktop 4.0 software to re-configure these monitors. One of the programmable features of the TT4 monitor that customers can program is the specified low alarm limit. The specified low alarm limit that the TT4 can be programmed to is –30o C (-22 o F).

Recently, the firmware code used in the design and production of the TT4 had been upgraded to improve the functional operation of the LCD Display. This firmware upgrade was also implemented to support the builds of all our new TT4 variants. Remember, that TTM Desktop 4.0 is required to download and configure ALL TT4variants and TT4 16K ambient (both SU and MU) monitors since TTM v2.4 and earlier, cannot read these new monitors.

Also note, that the latest firmware code is used in ALL TT4 builds (including TT4 2K ambient) Therefore, it is imperative that any TT4 2K MU or Single-Use Overwrite customers be upgraded to TTM Desktop 4.0.

Affected Systems
Sensitech customers attempting to configure any TT4 2K/16K MU or Single-Use Overwrite monitor down to the low alarm limit of –30o C (-22 o F) using an older version of TempTale Manager software (e.g. TTM v2.4 and earlier).

Problem Cause
TTM v2.4 and earlier is not backwards compatible with the new firmware used in the production of all TT4 monitors (including TT4 2K ambient monitors). Therefore, TT4 MU and Single-Use Overwrite cannot configure these monitors to the low alarm limit of –30o C (-22 o F).

Solution
All users and locations of TTM 2.4 and earlier, and who order TT4 2K MU or Single-Use Overwrite monitors, TT4 16K MU/ Single-Use Overwrite or any of the TT4 16K MU/ Single-Use Overwrite variants, need to upgrade to TempTale Manager Desktop 4.0, since TTM Desktop 4.0 has the capability to configure ALL TT4 monitors down to the low alarm limit of –30o C (-22 o F).
